On 1 October 2018, the Digital Economy Act – Spend Caps comes into force. Designed to protect users from bill shock, the legislation will allow you to set a spend limit for extras outside of your normal tariff.
Here’s what you can and can’t include in your spend limit:
All new and upgrading customers will be given the opportunity to set a spend cap for their monthly bills. What’s more, you’ll be able to change, remove and add a spending cap during your contract. You can also choose to opt out.
