MPS has taken a keen interest in the progress of Red Star AFC. The team has been managed for the last two seasons by our very own Hugh Ramsay, during which time, the team has won four trophies. This makes them the most decorated under-21s team in the oldest league in the West Midlands!
As the team headed into the final month of the football season, there was silverware to play for. Having put last month’s disappointment of losing a closely fought match in the semi-final of the Staffs FA Cup behind them, Red Star “pulled it out of the bag” when it mattered once again, winning the Lichfield and Walsall Harry Boston League Cup Final by two goals to nil against a very strong Four Oaks Rangers team earlier this month.
A well-earned victory for the team!
