MPS Networks plcMPS changes its name to MPS Networks plc

Midland Phone Services Ltd was incorporated on 25th March 1991. In January 1996 the current senior management team took control of the Company by way of a management buy-in, increased share capital and the Company became Midland Phone Services plc. Activities were focused exclusively on the sale and support of Panasonic telephone systems, predominantly in the Midlands.

Since 1996 the organic development of the business has resulted in an organisation which designs, funds, delivers and supports end to end, fixed and mobile, voice, data and IT networked solutions throughout the UK and Eire, working with over 2000 customers in the Private and Public Sectors. Organic growth has been complimented by the acquisition of the Bristol based companies Belworth Ltd in 2003 and ADV Maincom Ltd in 2006 as well as Telecall Ltd of Portsmouth in 2012.

Whilst we promise never to neglect the Midlands and phones remain a vital product in our portfolio our geographical reach, skills, products and services have been very much broader than they were in 1996 for some time. Many of our customers and suppliers know us as simply “MPS”, the brand we introduced in 2008 as we realised the selective nature of our company name relative to our actual capabilities was causing increasingly frequent confusion.

Entering our 25th year

As we enter our 25th year of trading we have decided to change the name of the Company to MPS Networks plc which we feel more accurately describes the nature of our business in conjunction with our established strap line “intelligent communication solutions”. We should be grateful if you would update your records accordingly.

Please note this name change does not affect our Company Registration Number, VAT Registration Number, Bank Details, rights and obligations related to all contracts with customers and suppliers; which all remain unchanged.

We thank our customers for their continued support and assure you of our best attention at all times.
