Connection Voucher Scheme SuspendedThe Government Connection Voucher Scheme was suspended as of 12th October 2015.

The funds available to the Scheme are close to being fully committed hence Broadband Delivery UK’s decision to suspend the Scheme pending the Government’s Autumn Spending Review, the results of which will be announced on 25th November 2015.

The fact that the £40M funding has been allocated much earlier than the planned scheme end date of 31st March 2016 would seem to indicate that the programme has been a success.

We believe there will be significant political pressure for additional funding to be made available by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport to continue to promote higher speed and availability Internet connectivity for UK SME. This is a matter liable to be dealt with at the Autumn Spending Review and so whilst we feel the Scheme will recommence in some shape or form this may be some months off.

In response to the suspension of the Scheme MPS has introduced funded discounts on the installation of high speed, high availability internet access services including Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) and Ethernet delivered over Fibre. In some cases we can offer installation completely free of charge for these services.

So if you are looking for improved internet access with funded installation and don’t want to wait on the UK Government then MPS Networks might be the answer.
