MPS AddS NEC to PortfolioVoice and data solutions provider MPS has announced the introduction of the latest communications solutions from NEC to a PBX portfolio already comprising the Mitel and Panasonic brands.

From March 2013 MPS customers will have access to the NEC SV8100 and SL1100 platforms as well as NEC applications including MyCalls.

MPS Managing Director Tim Docker commented “NEC is an innovative, highly respected global brand. The current NEC range of platforms and applications compliments our established PBX portfolio very neatly in terms of scale, functionality and pricing. Our Account Managers are highly skilled consultants capable of designing end to end, fixed and mobile voice and data communications solutions to meet end users specific requirements. Whilst we remain absolutely committed to the Mitel and Panasonic products, where we have achieved tremendous success and currently support around 2000 installed systems under contract, the addition of NEC will give our Account Managers an additional option to consider and further enhance the comprehensive nature of our offering in this area”.

Tim concluded by saying “the introduction of a new product in to the MPS portfolio only happens after comprehensive research and careful consideration. We already had a very strong PBX line up with Mitel and Panasonic and there was no fundamental requirement to introduce a third PBX manufacturer whilst the functionality, price and consequent appeal of the NEC product in certain vertical and horizontal market sectors made the proposition to adopt the product too compelling to ignore”.
