The MPS Corporate Mobile brand will initially offer a range of Pay As You Use tariffs charged on a pence per second basis and line rental charges start at £1.35 per month with no minimum call charges or set up fees.

The new tariffs have been welcomed by small and medium-sized companies which are traditionally offered bundled tariffs. These are often restrictive, inflexible and don’t take account of specific needs and so the business often finds itself being charged for services it doesn’t use and being penalised for using services which are not included in the bundle.

In recent years mobile airtime providers have promoted bundled tariffs to SME’s to the extent that they’ve become the accepted tariff type in this sector, arguing that customers want something that’s easy to understand and provides fixed monthly costs. But our research suggests the opposite – revealing that SME customers are fed up with being charged for services they don’t use.
